I’m a Relational Gestalt therapist.
The Gestalt approach seeks to promote awareness, creative choice and responsibility in the present moment (here and now). It seeks to understand and facilitate a person’s efforts to live a fulfilling and enriching life with more meaningful relationships. Gestalt therapy is growth oriented.
A relational approach values your sense of connection to yourself, to others, and to our shared place in the world. It encourages increased awareness of being “at home’ in your embodied experience, your ability to be responsive to other people, and a recognition of our interdependence with the natural world.
In addition, I’m a Gestalt Group facilitator and trained in various breathwork modalities.

However, my strong preference is always Face-to-Face. This may go against the trend of therapy since COVID started, but as a somatic (body) focussed therapist, I simply get more of a holistic view physically sitting with someone, as opposed to via a screen. But there are pros and cons for both, and I will offer both Face-to-Face and Telehealth sessions.
For Group Therapy, all our weekly group meetings are all held face-to-face. This is an important aspect of building the group into a safe and secure environment for group therapy.
Individual session – we meet in my rooms in Balgowlah.
Group Therapy – for group therapy we meet in Manly.
Individual session – the rate is A$150+GST per hour.
Group Therapy – the rate is A$640+GST for the 8 group meetings (16 hours)
Online – please click on ‘Make an Appointment’ button for the 15-minute free first consultation. This is required for both Individual and Group Therapy clients.
If you have any problems doing this, then email me at peter@petercoyle.co and I will do it manually.
Payment of a A$100 deposit is made when you make the booking online – so it’s a part payment in advance. The balance will be charged on the day of the appointment.
I do it this way as it reduces the administration of the booking and payment process. I want to spend my time with people seeking therapy, as opposed to doing too much administration.
If you give me more than 24 hours’ notice that you want to cancel our appointment, please update the online calendar and the funds will be returned immediately. If you give me less than 24 hours’ notice, then there will be no refund unless you let me know of exceptional circumstances.
