Breathwork

The combination of talk therapy and body work, such as breathwork, is a holistic approach to good therapy. It brings together the conscious and subconscious experiences of the whole person. We store thoughts, emotions, memories, trauma, etc multiple ways n the body. Therefore, having multiple ways of accessing them is key to successful therapy work.

Breathwork is a powerful tool that will help regulate your nervous system and can be used to release internal energy blockages or emotional patterns in a transformative way. These can be old (such as early childhood) or they can be new like holding grief from a recent loss.  By utilizing breath techniques you can take back control of how you feel internally, and change the way you lead your life externally.

Deep breathwork sessions 1:1

Deep breathwork sessions conducted with me move the client to a point where they can get access to either energy blockages or emotional holds, and then have the opportunity to release them. These are powerful sessions designed to trust your body to do what it needs to do to support your healing. It’s conducted in a very clear and safe space – you are always in full control. We work together in a process that is well understood by you beforehand, is safe and supportive, and designed to create sustainable and joyous outcomes.

Deep breathwork sessions – small groups (max 5)

The same process as above but offered to small groups of up to five people. One advantage here is that you will pay a lower fee (depending on the number of people), but the key advantage is that all participants get close to the same 1:1 attention. It is different from large (eg 40+ participants) groups being widely marketed now. My attention to conveying the clarity of the process, safety and being fully in connection with my clients during the session remains the same as 1:1 work.

Daily breathwork routines

A daily breathwork routine will help regulate your nervous system. This is important as it will help regulate your responses to things that life throws at you. You can avoid stressful responses (that generally look like chaos or rigidity) and remain in a connected state in the face of adversity or difficulty.

By spending some time with me, I can help with your daily breathwork routine. This will cover seeing how you are breathing now (eg deep or shallow, through the nose or mouth, etc), and work on a plan to optimize how you breath.

I can then work through areas where you would like to improve the responses to stressful situations. It can be to either ‘reduce the charge’ within a response or (conversely) to increase your energy levels to be more active in your responses (as opposed to going quiet or ‘shutting down’).

A much-needed service for high-functioning professionals who probably aren't so good at asking for help, and perhaps don't spend enough time working on themselves. Knowing Pete as I do, I would highly recommend that anyone who wants help working through the pressures of professional and personal life (or just needs a trustworthy ear to listen) should reach out to him.

These services are so needed, not only in Sydney but the global community. And if Canada (where my kids are studying) is any indication, there's plenty of demand for good therapists. Good Luck and I look forward to hearing more success stories. 💪💪
